Any thoughts on what engine trans in a NEW GM vehicle would be ideal for a swap in the Burb?

6.6L Duramax from a Silverado/Sierra HD would be my vote. And, uh, send one my way too :D

Indeed...aluminum block, too. Wish I was made of money, lol. I'd be swapping that instead of my "whimpy" 345HP 6.0L, heh.

Yeah but that gasser engine can't roll coal - why else would you need a diesel??

The Cummins is the better engine but the rest of the Dodge truck is junk :) If they made a Chevy with a Cummins that would be cool. The Duramax is definitely better than whatever Powerstroke Ford is using this week.

It's like all the little ricer fanboys grew up and bought trucks to "roll coal". Every bit as annoying.

Was driving down Main St. just yesterday and some guy was doing that. My wife had never seen it and said "Oh look, what's wrong with that truck?" I told her it had a ******* behind the wheel.

Around here it's all those 18 year old oilfield ass hats that think they all need diesel pickups with 12" lifts and 44s. And they don't think it's cool unless you have an 8" stack sticking up out of the bed.
@mistaake that's not true. That 6 speed they put behind the 98-02 cummins was awesome. The best diesel motor/tranny combo ever put in a pickup.
