That is needing work. It has an original 454 engine in it. What I am planning on doing is yanking it out and getting a newer engine with FI and will be selling the 454. I have guy already hounding on me on selling it to him, but I have no idea what to price it at. I don't want to gauge him on it, but I don't want to give it away for pennies. What should I be pricing this engine at?

It would be to heavy for the frame. Wouldn't it?

Is the motor definitely a truck motor? If it were sourced from a Chevelle or Corvette it would probably be worth a whole lot more. You might have the heart of a LS-6 in there!

AutoPartsDealer.com has a DMAX crate motor for $5600. If a stand alone Engine Harness will work with it, go for that! Link

Stock 454s needing rebuilt are turning a pretty penny around here. I have yet to see one for less than $1,000.

I see running 454s all the time for $450.I know where one is now in a camper home.Hear it run the ad says and has a turbo400 trans.$700 takes the whole thing. After you strip and scrap the metal the engin and trans could be free.Wish I had the time and room for that.$450-$600 is the average Ive seen. Most of them are dogs with smog heads and due for a rebuild.

A 454 or something new like a Duramax would both be two totally different kinds of badass. Hmm, keep us updated on this project/how much you wind up selling the engine for.
