This truck is by far the nicest vehicle I have ever owned. Yesterday I wrecked it, and I'd have to say it's my fault. Luckily my 3 yr. old grandson, the other driver, and myself are fine.

It will cost me a front bumper and a fender. Can someone recommend a vendor where I can get NOS parts to fix it? I'd really like to stay away from reproduction parts for this repair if at all possible. I'd be grateful.

Thanks,
Randy

Damn that sucks, but if all you are looking at is a bumper and a fender, that's not too bad. At least everyone is OK.

Good luck finding NOS parts. If you do they will be MAD expensive. Basically you have two plausible options:

1. Buy used parts from a donor truck that are in good shape. This may (or may not) be the cheapest option, but the fit should be pretty good. Obviously paint will be needed. Be aware that even when it looks like there's no rust, there is still rust. Somewhere...

2. DO NOT KNOCK AFTERMARKET PARTS. It all comes down to where you get them. You could get what you need from Auto Metal Direct (AMD) for probably the same price as a good set of used. They are 100% powder coated so there will be NO rust, and AMD makes fantastic parts that fit like NOS. I have their fenders on my 80 Camaro and they fit better than the original fenders I pulled off!

So it looks like you have those two options, unless you really really want to hold out for BIG $$$ NOS parts that just aren't worth it!

Sad news of the truck but good news about those involved not being hurt.

For those of you that can't help but look, here you go. I had to tell the original owners son about it yesterday. He tried to hide it, but he looked a little mad at me. Can't blame him.

I feel your pain. That truck is probably the cleanest original example on this forum and the one I think about every time I'm searching craigslist, always hoping to find one like it.
At least it's fixable. Biggest issue I see is sourcing the pinstripe decal. That stuff was horribly expensive and hard to find 20 years ago.
