I'm new to hydroboost systems! my 79 crew cab has the hydro boost the 454 has a rather aggressive vacuum killing cam. I need to retain the hydroboost. my question is if for any reason the engine dies going down the highway, how hard is it to get the truck stopped. I must explain myself, so this question makes more sense. I am a lower bilateral amputee who uses hand controls to operate my brakes. so, I'm concerned that I wouldn't have the arm power to get it stopped in the event of engine failure. with hydro boost, in the event of engine failure, is there residual "boost" to at least get it stopped.
? Maybe I'm just over thinking this.
