I have an 81 I've been working and has the mechanical clutch. For reasons looking into hydraulic conversion. If I am unable to find the 86 + factory hydraulic pedal assembly; is it possible to modify the mechanical clutch pedal to accept the rod for the master cylinder ? proper travel ?

It is possible. A member here by the name of Grease Dog posted a diagram many years ago. It's around here somewhere.

I am hoping to convert to a hydraulic setup also. Can you post the link from Grease Dog? Searched and came up empty. Tia, Rick
