How much underside rust is too much?

I am new to this group and new to square body Suburbans. I'm looking at getting an 89 Suburban that needs a lot of work on the interior. It has a rebuilt 454 and a manual conversion. The body has minimal rust, and the frame looks good to me. But the other areas underneath look bad to me. Is this too much rust and how much would it cost to replace or fix the rusted parts?

I personally don't see any rust. There's surface rust but I don't see pitting or anything. Wire brush and shoot it with semi gloss and be looking good.

On a second note. It's all dry looking too!

That thing is rock solid. Unless you are looking for a show truck, that's the type of undercarriage you hope to find.

Dig those wheels. And does it have no glass on rear quarters??

The guy that is selling it removed the rear quarter glass and welded in sheet metal. It is a Scottsdale and looks like a utility trim (manual windows, locks, and not much trim on the interior) Which is what I like, simple easy to fix. The rebuild of the engine eliminated fuel injection. This is a rare find in my opinion. I might try to make gull wing doors on the rear glass area. It has rear heat but no rear A/C.
