I was perusing CL and found an ad for 73-78 tilt column.

How much are you guys paying for tilt columns? It's not really something I have followed in regard to price. I am not necessarily looking to go buy this one, I just got curious looking at the ad. This one in the ad is 100+ miles, so I am not jumping up to go get it.

Probably not a bad price... I picked one up without the wheel for about $25-30 bucks, but I think I got a steal on that one.

I get $75-$100 out of them, and almost always sell one when I get calls for them. getting harder to find one around, most the tilts are done trashed or keys missing

The u-pick-it here wants $40 for a non air bag column, plus a $3 core charge.

It's common to see $100-$125 on CL for tilt columns. Of course the Pull A Part, they are cheaper. IIRC, $50 + Core. You know the core charge, just another way to make fuggin money cuz they damn sure don't need your core. However, any steering column can work as a core, they don't care if it's off a tractor, Toyota, whatever breed, or if it's even tilt.

In that case, I have just the core for them, a junker I ended up with that has no parts I need.
