I bought a new fuel tank switch, any idea on how to remove the old one without taking the dash pad off? Or is that the only way?

You should be able to access it by removing your glove box and reaching over, You would have as much access that way that removing the dash pad

Hell, I just grabbed the one in my truck and yanked on it. Popped right out. :Sumo:

If you're really careful, you could probably slide a small screwdriver in behind it and pop it out too. Just be careful not to scratch the paint. That would be a lot easier than removing the dash pad.

I could not get to mine from the glove box. I had to reach up under the radio and contort myself to get the the back of it. Also, mine was the original one that has a small clip which holds it in place. You must pull on the clip from the bottom, and then when it is off you can pull the switch into the cab. The new switch I bought does not require said metal clip as it has plastic tabs on it.
