Hey guys, new to the forum obviously. From upstate NY. Picked up my 86 CC dually earlier this year. Had a couple unsuccessful runs with 2 other squares, but this one's definitely solid. Drove it up from Long Island and have toyed with it and driven it a few times, but nothing major so far.
Plans are first to get it so it will pass inspection. Needs a new windshield (thank you, glass insurance). I've got to figure out the brake issue. Seems like my power brake system doesn't really work and it pulls hard to the right during the first few minutes of driving when on the brakes. My lighting is a bit messed up thanks to the previous owner who had no idea what he was doing while rewiring everything. Between that headache and spotting wire nuts under the truck, it looks like a new wiring harness from Painless will be on the order this winter.
Spring time it will be getting bagged and laying frame. Then hoping next winter we'll have pulled the trigger on a house with a big enough garage to fit it in. Will be doing a SFBD with a new frame from the firewall back. I'll be going the route of essentially taking off the top 4" of the frame. While that's getting done, the 454 will be off for a rebuild and then catching a supercharger. Plan on going through the tranny while thats getting done too.
Those are the plans so far. I'll get pics put up and start a build thread when I really get into it. IG is onedirtyc30, already have some up there.
