@MadisonChevyGirl,

Okay, I'll ask the obvious question...how did that frame get pink? Is the truck pink? Did you paint it or buy it that color? It looks old, I'm guessing so my guess is it was already that color. Close?

Ran over a pig???

Thank you all and I figured it out!
@Raider L i totaled the truck 8 years ago and rebuilt it started with just the frame and painted it pink, I don’t regret it call me what you will lol!
why would you regret it?

you are also a girl too so I would drive one. but I would have issues with the rust coming through and if I got rid of the rust I wouldnt have any panels

I may have to do this when I do tcase mount. that is a compelling offer and the urethane is tempting because I frankly dont want to have to do anything again lol

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum, I came here to get some help on just this topic. I have an '85 four-wheel-drive frame I'm putting a '99 5.7 L Vortec into, and I confused myself at first because the motor mounts wouldn't fit, so I thought maybe it was a 454 mounting problem, which is where the cab came from, but it turns out that in 85 GMC never put a big block in that frame so I was back to the drawing board.

It turns out that the motor mounts that were in the frame were broken and collapsed down toward the centerline of the frame, so I replaced the motor mounts on the frame, and the Vortec, with its clamshells from the 99 suburban, fit perfect.

so what exactly do you need help with? YOu would also benefit yourself to get a cold air intake onto that carburetor instead of that filter. The stock opening in the core support lets you use pretty large diameter duct to pipe into a factory air cleaner for a SBC 1977 ish + pre-TBI 4 barrel air cleaner. You may need a spacer depending on what make the carb is. I cant tell. but if you had ended up using TPI, the stock TPI intakes can work too but that requires a different hose ducting. But it looks like carb to me. Can I see your engine from more angles? looks nice,
