Hello!!! My name's Tracy, I'm 50 years young and live just east of Portland Oregon toward mount hood. I'm new to square body chevy's and in fact just made a few purchases in the last year.

My first purchase is a 73 blazer that I payed $3000 mostly for the Engine, Drivetrain and TIRES as the body is rusted beyond anything I would attempt to fix. I bought the Blazer purely as a doner vehicle! I will list the goody's below.......

4 barrel 350 crate engine less than 10,000 miles runs great but Definately stock

SM465 4 speed NP 205

Dana 44 Big Hub 8 lug front with Detroit Locker 4:56 gears

14 bolt ff 8 lug rear with Lockrite Locker 4:56 gears "it's the heavy duty FF with the added support for the pinion gear"

Five 36" Buckshot Mudders with over 90% tread on 16" white spoke rims.....not a fan of white spokes so will either paint them black or pick up some black rims

Second vehicle is 89 1/2 ton suburban........$1000

Body is very straight and it's RUST FREE!!!

I'm thinking its a 4" lift on 35" open country tires 70% tread, Aluminum rims.....don't know what there called

350 tbi blown head gasket low compression on two cylinders. I drove it 150 miles home. She's pretty slow but I did hit 70 on the freeway I think once!

700R4 NP241 SYE Kit Tranny is supposed to be new.......

10 bolts stock, gears unknown haven't looked yet

Interior needs carpet a dash pad but seats will work for a few years with a good cleaning and door panels are reasonably clean

My thought are swapping SM465 NP 205 and 3/4 ton running gear into the Suburban and probably will sale the 350 4 barrel engine to help finance a new tbi long block. Before I do anything however I'm going to get advice from the community!

Thanks for listening

My brother is up in your neck of the woods in Beaverton. He’s an engineer at Nike. I go riding with him in bend at least once a year. Beautiful area.

Cool trucks! Good luck with the build.

Tracy your Blazer is a California top truck... very rare. I would consider restoring it, if possible.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't think I would be interested in restoring it but if you or someone you know would be send me a PM. FYI The picture doesn't really show how badly its rusted out.

Oh I'll take your word for it, it's rusted done good(bad). Those cabs also leaked were the cap joined the windshield pillar and water went down inside and
oh it's a mess. So they're even more rare because of the few built even less have survived.
