30 year GM Tune Up Tech (and other car stuff) now retired. A year ago I bought a one owner 1977 GMC C25 with a Lance camper on it. Only 112,000 orig miles, but needed allot of TLC. And a big block/TH400 combo. It came with an anemic 350/Muncie 465, wiring nightmares, no tilt/AC. So I spent a year putting in a fresh 454/TH400 from a '73 C25 donor truck I bought. Had tilt and a perfect grill. The crap I ran into on this project was hilarious! From the driveshaft to the speedo cable, etc.

But what else do I have to do? LOL It's been a blast. Hope to learn something on this site, and if I can answer any questions please ask me.

Thanks

Welcome. Gotta love changing engines in the street. I did that in the mid 90's with my '80 3+3. Neighbors loved me...

FYI, keep those "housecar" plates to save on DMV weight fees. If you ever decide to remove the camper, switch to personal plates, but keep the housecar classification. It's cheaper than paying the weight fees. Keeps the boy's in blue off your back.

How do you like that Vintage Air set up? I should have mine in a week. Is it hooked up to the OEM system?
