Hello from southern maine

Hey guys, new here but not new to the square body gm's. My first vehicle was an 87 jimmy that is now the family plow truck. Still runs great but getting soft from the harsh road salt and winters. Live got an 89 blazer parts truck that was a plow truck but very rusty. An 86 jimmy that's my plow truck and semi crusty lol. I just picked up an 84 3/4 ton burban that is a southern truck with very little rust with a 6.2 that will be my family rig. I've got my pride and not that is an 82 Chevy k10 short bed 4x4 from California. Rust free and original right down to factory fuel and brake lines with not even surface rust. Don't dive that but on sunny days. I've also got an 87 c10 short bed from down south, original and rust free with a tired 4.3 that I'm swapping in a tbi 350 out of the 89 parts truck.

I hope to help people and get some help when I need it for my new burban project. I really want to build a long lasting family rig to take on trips and any time that we need lots of space for kids, pets, and any junk we may see on the way lol.

Thanks guys. Here's a link to the 82 when I first got it on the road. It's still got the California "patina". I did the interior as it was the tan but I had a spare red set and would like it to be black someday. I painted the jambs but that's as far as I got. I wish they kept it yellow but oh well.

Couldn't figure out how to load more than one picture in a post on my iPhone but that's the 87 I'm going to do a motor swap in. My original 87 jimmy is behind it. That's the truck that started it all 16 years ago!

You can see the front of the 89 blazer in the video too lol. They're everywhere in my yard!

And here's the burban on the trailer just as I got it home. Kills me to get salt all over it but had no choice. It'll get cleaned and well under later before I start driving it regularly.

It's a winch to haul junk on my trailer. I'm a heavy duty diesel mechanic but I also scrap vehicles and the winch pulls the dead ones on the trailer.

I love the Jimmy's paint. The stripe is paint too not vinyl. Sad to see it getting soft on me. I did a complete rear floor and tail pan back in high school that I bought brand new from the local GM dealer. The burban needs paint and I'm going to try to match the jimmy for old times sake. But not with the stripe just the shade of blue.
