Hey guys,

The name is Jake. Long time lover but first time owner of a squarebody. It's a 1975 Chevy Cheyenne 2500 c20 with the 350/TH400 combo. It came from a truck family and was the grandmother's daily. The son is really happy to see it back on the road and with someone who cares about it. And obviously the dog already approves.

Sounds like paint is Moss Gold/tan or white depending how dirty it really is.

As for plans, just going to drive it and tweak as needed for now. Clean up the odd "paint marks" but keeping the patina.

Near future plans:
Attempt to unkink the hood and lubricating the hinges.
80-90s bench for a little more room, I'm a big guy.
Brakes and some tune up bits.
Replace the rattling speaker boxes behind the seat. (Just banging around)

Future plans:
6/7 drop but maintaining the 8 lug wheels. I love the oem ones, they just need to be refreshed.

Fix exhaust leak, probably do headers.
Headliner is some weird faded skin fabric from the 80s. That's getting replaced.

That's about it for now. I'll do my best to search before I ask. [emoji6][emoji16]

Cheers guys[emoji482]

Haha thanks and he's definitely mine. He's my copilot most days. And is obsessed with riding in the truck or in our Wrangler.

Welcome to the site! Once you get the hood freed up it you could add some supports to it to prevent any future bending. I'm down near Salem, there are a few other Oregonians around here as well if your ever needing a hand.

Thanks guys!

It actually has some metal plate/supports already welded on; I was wondering what they were before I realized how bad the hood was. (Inspected the truck in the dark)

I'm in SW Portland, close to Tigard, so not too far from Salem. I'm always down to help turn a wrench as well. Appreciate the heads up and offer.

Welcome to the site sir.

I actually live in Tigard very near you.
My son drives my '79 everywhere and you may have seen it.
He has a buddy that works at Baxters on 99W and it can be seen there every once in a while.
If you ever need help, just let us know.
