Hey y'all,
I've finally been able to get my hands on a C10 and I couldn't be any happier. This thing is so badass. I have a 1974 C10 with a 400 small block. I want to make it clear that I'm no mechanic whatsoever, but I'm capable of learning. The previous owner painted the truck black, but I think the previous paint was some dark red or maroon? The inside of the cab has red and some parts where the paint is chipping shows red. Anyway, I'm doing a little cleanup on the rims and I noticed a dark spot. Can anyone give me some pointers on how to get rid of this? I've tried using a very fine steel wool with some dollar store cleaner, which has worked really well on the chrome bits of the truck. Also, this is the first forum I've EVER joined, if there are any other good square body forums that I should be made aware of, please let me know. I look forward to gaining some knowledge from you old school chevy guys.
