New here from the eastern side of Montana.
Born, raise and still living in Miles City, matter of fact,I am living in the same house I was born and raised in. :)
I am the proud owner of a 79 Chevy 20 that was used as a commercial fencing rig and is it ever beat,so,I am going to do what I can to straighten the worser of it and just drive the wild beast.
Front end is in serious need of parts, hit a bump and it shimmies like it is going to hop right off the road.transfer case is a full time unit so I`m going with the part time kit,I already instilled a new set of Warns on it to keep from ripping up the frnt drive axle u joints.
Much more is needed, but I found a source of parts for a lot of what is missing.
a friend is hauling a 76 to the recyclers and it is setting on a trailer one block away,he said I could have as much of it as I wanted.I`m a rippin and a tearin as fast as I can before He hauls it off. :party36:

Welcome to GMSB Marty. So you've got a 79 K20? 4x4 model 3/4 ton right? So you must have the NP203 Transfer Case, with the 4Hi 4 HiLOC, and 4Low 4LowLOC.

yeah buddy, always nice when you go parts robbing off of a truck on it's way to the crusher. I got to do that a few months ago on a coworkers trucks and got some nice parts that I normally wouldn't have been able tio have it if weren't for that, like a 10 bolt front ARB Air Locker and 10 bolt Detroit Locker.
