Im Ryan nice to talk and learn from ya'll. I have alot of questions as that now im getting into rebuilding and swapping parts out on these trucks. I have a 85 3/4 ton chevy sitting on a 8' suspension on 38's running a 350 with 4 speed an 205 transfer. I just recently bought a 86 that has a bad motor an trans so im rebuilding it and trying to just make a decent truck out of it. Bought a 400 small block and getting it in now. Im having promblems with what transmission and what transfer case to go with. This truck is going to just be an everyday driver. I have enoughf to deal with now just figuring out the motor and all the things i half to change on it. owell wish me luck everyone and any help will be gratefully appricated...Ryan

Thank you guys...prombem solved found a guy who gave me 2000 for the truck with no motor and blown up trans...Bought the truck for 200 bux, windsheild installed 60 bux..nice profit..now to buy something for the other truck

Welcome to GMSB Ryan. Let get this straight on your details.

You mention 85 3/4 ton, and a 205 Tcase. So that would be a K20 right? And what about this 86? It's also a K too if you're wondering what trans and Tcase to go with right? Is it K10 1/2 ton , K20 3/4 ton or K30 1 ton?

What problems are you having with the transmission? What's in the truck now? Is it OE (Original Equipment) ?

We like porn too. Need to see some pics of these trucks. If you want fire up a build thread for each one in the under construction section as most of us have done. Plenty of help here, you won't need much luck.
