Time for new headers. I used 63-66 corvette manifold on my 71 and 72. Will they work on my 79 square body, 350 with nv4500 and hydraulic clutch! Thanks in advance for any thoughts

center dump ramhorns?

to my understanding, slightly larger than that diameter wise and they angle instead of straight. ive heard people had to notch clearance on the pad for motor mounts

I have the 2.5" center dump reproductions. There was clearance issues on the driver's side with the motor mount.

Passenger side was fine. But I have an automatic and not a manual. Not sure if there will be issues with that.

Unless I'm mistaken, the original "rams horns" Have a kick back on the drivers side, What I've seen is repops come either way, what I'm planning on putting on the race car, only reason I know. The 70 C 30 has them and they do have the kick back. With single factory(?) exhaust the starter won't come out. The Corvette stuff looks in pictures to be a tick different, better or worse I dunno? I really like them.

I think it was only the truck versions that "kicked back". And they were 2" and not 2.5". Corvette ones were straight down center dump. At least that was the info I found when I installed mine probably 7 years ago.

There maybe some different aftermarket variants available now. :shrug:

correct, such that it is for the peopel who want the ram horns, but not for a corvette, but want the diameter. The ones on my 283 there are most definitely 2 probably. i also have a set laying around too but Likely 2.

Also I thought old trucks used the log manifolds and the SBC mounts were different spot anywa
