After looking at many headers including the stainless ones. I bought some hookers. They were real junk I had to send them back. warped flanges.

I ended up with HEDMAN headers. 1 5/8 with 3 in collector.
These were built very well. Only problem is(and I think I may send them back)
when they were ground flat at the flanges, only one tube is ground to much. I dont want future problems with leaking gaskets. I know how they square the flanges and it looks like only one got grounded down almost flat but at an angle. In the pic you can tell it has a lip on the bottom that will seal with the gasket, on the top you can see it is ground just about flat with the flange.

What should i do? am I over thinking this?? return or install?

Should seal fine.

They make two header styles though, the ones you have install easy but will hang a little low and rub the front shackles. Just be prepared to put a ratchet strap around them and bend them in a little. Not a big deal really.

They look fine to me as well. My headers fit great and sealed without any problems and mine are just like those.

I called Hedman and sent them pics. (OMG i dont know how those passed QC)
were is exacted words. Those will give you problems every time you replace gaskets. Please send them back for replacements!! I am sending them back. He said the surface should all be the same and flat, not ground at an angle. thanks for every ones reply!!:gathering:
