Ok guys I need help. My 83 C10 is a Frankenstein motor/trans swapped truck, the hazard lights are non existent at this point, there is no switch for it on the column, my question is, Does anyone know what color the wires are the power the hazard flasher? I've tried to find it in the wiring diagrams with no luck. Should I be able to just install a switch between the two wires to get the hazards working ?

The hazard button just screws into the turn signal switch , so if the turn signal switch is in the column as a jury rig you could just find a little screw of the right thread and put it in there.

The hole is on the lower right side of the column as you look while in the driver's seat, close to the steering wheel.

Push it in to activate .

If they do not work with an activation device installed then you have a new issue , but one at a time.

Good luck!

The flasher relays are on the fuse box and it’s just that little button on the column like mentioned above.

Ok, so I found the hole,( no pun intended) there's no switch there, just a little brass blade inside, tried to fiddle with it with no success. I was hoping to find out which wires come off the flasher on the fuse box so I can just wire a new switch in.

Close up view of a spare I have.

My thumb is where the activation knob screws in.

I saw nothing like that, can you tell me which wire or wires run to that part of the switch, that would be a huge help, not changing the switch, I wired the entire truck one more switch won't hurt.
