grrr.broke brake line on beetle...fix or replace

Broke it right where it runs into the caliper. 2000 volkswagen bug. ALso the damn caliper is stuck and wont compress so looks like another caliper but thats beside the point.

The guy at O'reillys said he can order the rubber part and it should unscrew. But obviously it wont, its crimped on there. I went ahead and took the metal line off and I think I'm going to have to replace them both as a unit. Call the dealership tomorrow?

Yea hes an IDIOT. Is that a front or rear brake line? If thats where it attaches to the caliper then yea he might be able to get a replacement.

Have a different idiot at the parts store look up a rear brake hose. If one is available, it might be just the rubber hose end and you have to bend up a flared line to put it all together (you end up with two individual, removable parts). If it aint available, you'll have to go to the stealer.

went to the stealer, no luck, oreillys ordered the wrongshit, brake shop copuldnt fix the line but recommended ebay. Ill be damned, found the EXACT line for 45 bucks.

could but it was a replacement model and 100 dllars, no return if it didnt work:mfr_omg:
