After planning on going for the original light blue (WA7470) + 2 toned white and realizing I could only get it in a base and not single stage, I realized it would be easier just to paint a different color I could get in single stage... Anyone have any pictures of nice squares that are a charcoal grey type of color?

Where are you getting your paint? Single stage should be no problem.

Called a local paint supplier, they only had it in base and acrylic enamel.. Might have to look around more.

Right but I heard that acrylic whatever is no good. Not sure if that’s correct though.

So all in all, I should be able to find the Light Blue (WA7470) in a single stage? Not acrylic enamel tho.

There's different types of paint for different applications. Cheap paint is no good. Enamel is a strong single stage, but like anything else, you get what you pay for.

Ya dude..you need to keep looking for a different PAINTER.
Not so much the painter, but the supplier... Will call another shop when I get the time, I’m sure they’ll have it in what I need.

Is the regular single stage urethane type paint better?

Depends on the useage. Most of my experience is with base/clear systems.

I say painter because my experience says that ir'll be REALLY EASY to find a guy to base / clear and it's WAY HARDER to find a guy that won't tell you the "you're not supposed to do that anymore" or the " my boss won't let me" OR how about the old standby "i'm not set up for it" line...

Doing the body work myself and my uncle is going to paint it. Not being professionally done. He says single stage would probably be the easiest/cheapest way to go while it will still look good.
