Howdy. Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge and love for the squarebodies!
I recently repatriated my grandfather's 1982 GMC Sierra Classic. I love telling the story because it represents everything we're should love about kind Americans.
TL; DR: My G-Pa passed and we lost his truck on 2016... I just got it back!
Full story, my grandfather is the single owner. He passed in 2016. My mother sold the vehicle to a farmer; she couldn't keep it and I was out of the country for an extended period, unavailable to take disposition. Recently and totally out of the blue, I asked said farmer, who I do not know, if he'd sell me the vehicle. Without hesitation, he said, "son, this vehicle belongs in your family." He sold it back to me for what he paid. Now that's what I know to be American... people who care for each other; respect tradition and family.
