New to the site, not new to GM trucks :) Technician then Service Mgr. of a Cadillac GMC dealership better part of the 80's opened my own shop early 90's and still at it! have owned a 82 k10 lwb for the past 21 years. it's rusted to the point it's main function now is snow plow duty at the garage. it's replacement a 97 GMC extended cab is now getting pretty tender( sneaking up on 250K) and probably wont see another winter after this one! just purchased an 86 K10 Silvarado SWB in Reno and had it shipped back to Maine to restore as my next truck. so the fun begins! even thinking about tearing the 82 down next spring, fixing the body and putting it back on the road.
other projects/ vehicles 65 Impala SS 396 4 gear, 1974 Jensen Interceptor, 1991 Honda CRX, 01 Buick regal (daily driver) Bob

Ok looks like all my truck pictures are 2 meg plus so I'll have to do the photobucket thing bear with me!

Now, here is a picture of the 1974 Jensen Interceptor MK III from 7-8 years ago. it's currently sitting less all chrome and interior sporting a fresh coat of 4 stage Corvette Magnetic Red Matalic II (and a layer of dust) waiting for me to figure out how I'm going to pay for the new leather interior it needs etc. the vehicle is Italian design, British Built, with a factory installed Chrysler 440, 727 trans and a Salsbury/ Dana rear. and the car was wired by Satan!(Lucas) Basicaly a hand built auto they built aprox 1600 in 74 frame, body, fenders, nose all one piece. doors, hood and rear hatch are the only removable panels.

here is the last of the kids 1965 Impala SS Black with White interior, originaly 327 / 4 speed now has a 396 / 4 speed bought car back in 75 in Northern Calif. flat towed it to Maine when we moved here in 84. currently undergoing a second restoration :-( Promised myself she'd be done by now, but such is life! Goal (bucket list) is to make a cross country run RT66 for her 50th Birthday! (6000 mi round trip + Carburated Big Block + 3:73 Gears! $4 Gas!:banghead:)
also belong to a club devoted the the 65/66 full size chevy. so I imagine there will be some major 50th anniversary club event somewhere in the US that She should be at. But then if the Mayan's were correct, none of this will mater in a couple of weeks! RT

Welcome! You had my attention when you mentioned Jensen Interceptor, that is a very neat car. I just moved from Reno recently and some guy had a green Interceptor he drove around there. My wife and I thought it was cool as hell but could never figure out what it was until we were watching a topgear re run episode.

Irishman, there aren't many around! they produced like 8600 of them over a 10 year span 66-76. and probably only half of those made it to the US. on top of that they weren't protected very well from corrosion, so many died from rust. AFAIK I have the only one in Maine. there was another but it was sold and went to Fla.
it's a rare vehicle, but the value isn't reflected as such. I figure that by the time I'm done with it I'll have 25-30 K invested and I'll have a damn nice $10,000 car! RT
