New to the site. I started working on my Grandpa's 85 Sierra Classic K1500 about a year ago, after it sat for 12 years. The first pic is just after the first time it moved under its own power again. The second pic is after I buffed the paint out.
I was very young when Grandpa bought the truck, and just about every fishing trip I took until I was in my twenties I was in the passengers seat of that truck with grandpa behind the wheel. It now resides in Ohio but luckily spent most of its life in Arkansas, away from the salt.
I still refer to it as "Grandpa's truck." My wife asked me why, and I told her, it's still his truck I'm just is care taker now.
