After years of working on vehicles without the use of a lift, I finally pulled the trigger on a new lift.

Projects just got easier for me!!!

That's awesome! Lifts are wonderful. Thankfully, my buddy has one. Couldn't have replaced all the brake lines on my Caprice without it. It would have been a nightmare otherwise.

This one is 9ft 10inches high. I did a lot of research before deciding on this one. I have 12ft ceilings, and could of gotten a taller one that has the cross member that goes across the top of the posts, but they serve no purpose other than to hide and protect the cables. I decided to go with the shorter lift that the cross member is a floor plate, in case I ever have to tear it apart for repair it would be easier on the floor. They all lift the vehicle the same height so it didn't matter to me. They lift approx. 72"

Do yourself a huge favor and get something to cover those posts, down low, where doors will get opened into them.

Actually, that floor plate can be a PITA depending on the kind of work you do and how often you do it, as it can get in the way. I've worked on a daily basis under lifts with and without the floor plate... I say fock that floor plate, lol.

But, now I work on vehicles solely at home and I would walk on hot coals for ANY kind of lift

Thanks. It was a 1 owner dealer demo, and I bought it after it had been donated to the Goodwill. I've put a lot of effort into bringing it back to original condition.

Just bought one also, road dry enough now, will have it shipped tomorrow. Got the 12 foot asymmetrical, have a 12ft 4in drive in basement. How hard was it to assemble, or in other words how many friends and how much beer will I need to get this done? Long gone are the days I would attempt it myself.

has caster that go on post so I can move it around, free standing
