I wouldn't describe that as gold colored.

That could be "Russet Metallic", or maybe Cordova Metallic.

Do you have the SPID label? The color option code will appear on there.

Depending on how desperate you are you could send $50 and your VIN to the GM Heritage Center and they can give you the original invoice, including RPO content and pricing.

Actually, yes, it looks like they did. I took a pic of my '79 brochure that had the paint colors on the back. Specifically check out the Light Camel Metallic in the bottom left. That is the closest to a gold for '79.
