Hey guys,
I have searched and searched before I get flamed. :sorry:

I can't seem to find the automatic hub parts break down. I went to replace a front caliper and there was a ton of slop in the hub. So, for the first time ever, I tore down the automatic hubs. I have a snap ring left over and another part. I think the owner before me took this hub apart before. I only say that because the first shaft nut i took off had/has no little knob for the next middle washer thing with all the holes to Lock the initial axle nut.

Also, the axle nub that comes through the spindle has a lot of play in it. Is this normal or are there/is a bearing in spindle half?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated ahead of time.

Sent the Auto Hub info from GM shop manual to website: http://www.bacliffrv.com/TruckParts/index.html .

Some people like em, I prefer manual hubs since I quite often use 4L to obtain 2W granny gear to shove around heavy trailers on hard surface.

Question incase anybody may know.

#28 Snap ring, I think is what is my "extra piece" I did notice two grooves to the start of the axle nub, but if I am reading the schemadic correctly, it looks to be closer to the wheel bearings ride/sit.

Can anybody clarify this? My other missing unknown piece is the space #27 I think. It is more like a washer but cupped to one side. Any idea which way it should face?

Sorry for the noob question, I have never messed with SFA's till now and I really don't believe the truck was put together incorrectly by PO.
