What does this mean exactly in the 1980 vin system? I have an X in my vin and it states in the vin system-glider kit less engine......Thanks for an answer if anyone knows!

In the big truck world(18 wheelers) a glider kit is basically a new incomplete truck. Most commonly they are ordered without an engine/transmission or without rear ends/fuel tanks.

Yeah, I read that on google, but were talking about a 1980 chevy c20 trailering special. Anyone have any Ideas?

Somebody ordered a truck without an engine maybe tjey had a 70s motor they wanted in it

What digit of the VIN has the X? Is it for the engine designation or bodystyle or what?
