Front wheel rattles a little

I hear this rattle in the front drivers side wheel ....1989 chevy suburban 2500 350 400 turbo 4x4....it's really light sound at low or no rpm ...and when I first apply the throttle...is a light sound I keep wanting to thinks its the thin metal shield down there....like a pebble in a beer can kinda and thinking scratching at the same time...... To vague er what?

Does this suburban have full size hubcaps on it ? if so remove the hubcaps and see if that makes any difference.

auto locking hubs? sometimes they don't fully disengage and cause a rattle sound.

Hubcaps

Yhea it does sound like a rattling hub cap..they are the full size stock hub caps..I bet that's the problem...and the hubs are not auto, ..thanks guys


Hub caps sure made it look better though.........oh the vanity

I had a crinkling noise in the front end of a 72 Caprice,turns out it was from the full size hubcaps and the wheels flexing from the heavy duty radial tires.
Could also be brake pads rattling in the calipers.


Hub caps sure made it look better though.........oh the vanity
