my truck was missing the front drive shaft when i bought it, now i have a new drive shaft but i don't know how to secure the u-joint on the front yoke.

looking at the yoke, it looks like there is no thread inside and holes on both side, but in the rockauto catalog they only sell strap clamp kit.

what should i buy ?

and on the other side, i need the bolts for the flange what size is this, i am not friend with inch measurement, i don't want to make a mistake :025:

Usually they are secured onto the differential with straps and bolts.
Clean those holes out thoroughly and look at it.
Usually the straps are secured on with a 5/16ths NF bolts by 1-1/4 inch with the top half inch shanked, like these.

The heads are smaller, they are, on the heads a 7/16ths wrench size.

Personally I prefer the U bolts, but, I have never had a strap or bolt bust either.
