I have the knuckles off my front axle right now to replace the ball joints. I'm planning on completely rebuilding everything while its apart. One side leaked gear oil. I can't find where a wheel seal should or would have been. Are there seals on these axles? Both ends of the axle tube seem to have their fair share of rust inside.

Also anyone have a link for a good rebuild kit?

pretty sure the seal is up inside on them close to the gear set and not on the outer parts, I could be wrong though. I had looked it all up along time ago and can't remember any of it now.

The axle shaft seals are in the pumpkin just outboard of the carrier bearings. The differential must be removed to service these seals. This will not disturb the ring & pinion set up but it is a PITA.

Just keep the bearing shims and caps together the way they came out, they have to be put back in the same location and orientation.

It's easy to do, you already have the knuckles off, IMO that is the hardest part. Now just pull out axles and take off diff cover, four bearing cap bolts and the whole ring gear and center section come out, then just knock old seals out and new ones in. I used a long pipe to knock then out.
