Front bottoms out

I recently bought a 1974 c10 That was lowered by the previous owner ( unsure how much) I believe it’s 6 inches in the front and 7 or so in the rear. It was lowered in the rear by removing some leaves from the leaf springs. The front was lowered with drop spindles and lowering coils. I replaced the shocks all the way around with nitro drop 2 shocks and new rear leaf springs / flip kit. The front end bottoms out and has a super harsh ride. I can’t even drive it on freeway. Any recommendations?

Put stock suspension back on it. Mine was lowered from po and rode like ****. So I went back to stock and like it much better now. Jmo

The ride is so harsh I feel like that one or 2 inches without the bump stop wouldn’t make that much of a difference if any. I could be wrong though, any suggestions about what else it could be?

I really like the look of lowered trucks so I wanna try to keep it And find a balance between decent ride and decent look.

Keep the drop springs, but put stock spindles back on.
You can see if there are poly bump stops that are shorter. I had an '01 that was lowered 6" that permanently rode on the factory bump stops. I removed those, and put poly low profile bump stops in their place. After that, the truck rarely hit the bump stops, and it made a big difference.

I will warn you, the ride is going to suck with pretty much anything you do when the vehicle is lowered that much, unless you're spending big bucks on a full custom air suspension with a LOT of frame work.

Without the bump stop it will be metal slamming metal.

I'm not the most familiar with the front suspension on these trucks, but I don't believe you will be able to add a taller spring (factory) back between the control arms, with a drop spindle. You may be able to, I just don't ever hear of anyone going drop spindle, and stock height springs when they lower a truck. The cheapest solution would be to keep the drop springs, and obtain 2 good stock spindles for dirt cheap from a salvage yard or Craigslist.

From what I read online, 2 inch drop spindles shouldn’t affect the ride much compared to 2 inch drop coils. Reason being the 2 inch drop coils have less uptravel. I could be wrong. What I meant was instead of the 3-4 inch drop coil spring I have now, I would do 1-2 in drop coil combined with the drop spindles I already have

Are you sure the springs aren’t cut down stock springs? Maybe look for a heavier drop spring. My truck is lowered 6” in the front and I don’t have much of a problem, the ride is very similar to stock.
