Hey guy's.
Been reading and searching but to no avail.
I have an 86 Sub 2WD w/700R4. Its got 125k miles that I just got running good enough to start driving.
Truck overall is in really nice shape. Runs and drives good after a good quality carb rebuild. Shifts good. Tranny fluid is a clear red color.
My question is what's your take on synthetic vs. standard dino Dexron tranny fluid with this unit?
I like synthetics and would probably do a complete fluid flush with synthetic but I also understand the huge controversy over that vs. a drain and fill. I'll start with a drain/fill after changing the filter and see what that does.
I'm looking at the future to see if its even an option with these 700R4's. I know some older trannys that were designed to be run with conventional dino fluid respond really well to synthetics and others not so much.
Looking for your opinions.
Thanks in advance.
