I'm converting my 79 k10 from a shortbed to a flatbed. I have access to a free 90's ford flat bed, and I wanted to know if anyone has tried something like this, and what modifications it would take?

If it's the right length and width it's no big deal just some spacers and drill some holes.

What @Ricko1966 said, and if the ford runners under the bed match the chevy frame which I'd wager do not.

If the ford runners don't line up nbd.you bolt or weld 2x3 square stock same width as ford bed across the chevy frame so it will line up with the ford bed bolt holes you could probably get away with 4x4s but it would look ghetto.

From what I’ve looked at, a lot of trucks from that era have 34” out to out frame rail spacing.
