I was a little horrified when I realized "fixed" bench seats even existed. I thought they were basically invented with folding mechs. *entitled* lol. Is the best option to look on Facebook Marketplace? I was also surprised nobody makes an OE-style aftermarket one. The local u-pull doesn't even have any C10s according to their website. This would have been trivial 20 years ago. Which range of years would be compatible with my 76? I think they are different after 1979.

It seems like there are two considerations.

Was it already on its own rails? Someone just told me that the rail to body mounting was universal 73-87, but that the seat to rail connection changed in 1981.

I believe the rails and mounting changed a couple times in the 70's. The safest bet is to get a seat that has the correct rails with it too, then bolt it in.
