That is exactly the picture I need, and I think that switch will be easier to find.

Other pictures did not show how the bent metal piece worked and how the switch was oriented, but it’s pretty obvious in that picture.

My 79 has a switch on the mechanism, my 76 does not, but the light will come on with the prop valve on the 76
I believe that they appeared in 1979. Wiring diagrams pre-79 do not show the switch, but the 79 does. (See '79 wiring detail) My 76 appears to be drilled for it, but it's not there. (hole location circled, though it appears a bit fuzzy in the pic). Curiously, the 76 service manual assumes that there is a switch and tells you to check the instrument panel brake warning light by applying the parking brake.

I just checked mine and dash has a light, but it's burnt out or otherwise not working. Parking brake engages and releases though. This was the first time I've used it.

Also did 4 pumps and got it started from a cold start for the first time that way. previously i dumped a bit of gas in the carb. Little wins lol.

Oh and this is an 84 c20.
