Emblem attachment

It seems that accessing the back of the emblem is near impossible without pulling the fender. That’s not happening so I ask …

how has this been addressed?

the last guy had them siliconed in.

I used some emblem barrel clips on mine. it’s held the emblem on nicely for 13 years so far.

The barrel clips work nicely, but sometimes with fresh paint they don’t.. (size of pegs VS size of holes) 3M Emblem & Trim tape is another option.

Basic options are barrel clips, 3M emblem tape, or 3M trim adhesive AKA yellow snot. If it were me I'd use barrel clips and combine it with either the tape or the adhesive, just to make sure they stay put. Silicone is in my opinion not a great glue, more importantly according to my glass guy some silicones will attack paint over time and invite rust.

Yellow snot is a good name for it.

Are the flimsy backing panels being used between the emblems and paint? If not, I'd go the barrel clip and 3M tape route.

I used 3M double sided tape and held flawlessly last 7 years

thanks I could not remember the name barrel clasps. I used them on my wifes mustang.

i will go find them, and 3m tape.
