I have a 1986 Suburban the ignition stopped working, replaced battery only had dome lights and head lights working. Changed safety neutral switch, ignition switch, and key cylinder, still nothing. Went back through connection, checked all fuses, started looking through wires under hood, power returned. Put steering column back together and lost power to ac, dash switch for rear window, turn signals, and wipers. Any suggestions as to the problem?

I always start with grounds. A loose ground is usually what causes multiple items on different circuits to fail

I would check grounds as well. If you don't find anything wrong there I'd be looking at the main connector at the firewall.
