Edelbrock 1405 install

Hi everyone. I am going to be installing an Edelbrock 1405 carburetor onto my 350 engine. The th350 transmission that’s in the truck has the slotted kick down cable. Where/how does this get installed onto the carburetor linkage? I am having a hard time finding information about this.

What transmission is in the truck? If it is 700r4 make sure the geometry on the TV cable is correct before you even drive around the block. Death comes quick to 700r4s after carbureator changes. I'm not kidding,people slap on a different carb and think all is good,oh it runs great!!! 3 weeks later they need a transmission because they didn't have correct line pressure.
