Dually wheel questions

So as I’m sure some of you have seen I put 265/75/16 tires on my dually. Everywhere is fine except my driver side front tires rubs the drag link while turning. It’s starting to chew up my tire. What have you dually guys done to combat wider tires up front? I know crossover is the ideal solution but the budget doesn’t allow that.

Odd. Mine are much wider than the average 265 tire and the drag link doesn't rub.

is it lifted? did you install the correct drag link parts, either a block or a dropped pitman arm? if you did and it's adjusted properly you need to adjust the steering stop. the little bolt on your steering knuckle. note, factory these are welded and not adjustable. remove it and put an adjustable bolt and jam nut on it. highdesertranger

I'm in the same boat as Bucket. Much wider tires up front with zero issues. 2wd stock (probably saggy) height.

I was just looking at one of your other posts and realized the wheels you have on your dually are not GM wheels. I'm guessing Ford E350. I did some checking and it looks like your wheels may have more offset than a GM wheel, which would place your tires more inboard than stock. Not by much (3mm), but it could be enough to cause rubbing.

16 x 6 Hub-Piloted Dual-Mounting Use Clamping Plate W/90 Cone Nuts 1976-2000 Chevy GMC (C/K 3500,8 Hole 6.5" Bolt Circle 4.56") Wheel Offset 5.00" = 127mm

Ford 16x6" wheel offset: 130mm = 5.118"

No lift. All stock front end. I haven’t adjusted anything

It rubs more than 3mm worth. I may need to clock my pitman arm. Is that something that’s feasible

I replaced my pitman arm with a dropped one a few months ago. I don't think you can clock it. The shaft is dished to allow the bolt to go through it.

you can't run those spacers on a dually. a dually is hub centric. frankly I wouldn't run those spacers on anything. highdesertranger

Dodge did ,on the right front only. Late 90's early 2000's to help with pulling to the right problems. Figures???

"Dodge did" well that doesn't surprise me. instead of fixing the problem they mickey moused it. typical Dodge. highdesertranger

If I don’t end up selling the truck here soon I might just get a set of 1” hubcentric spacers and put them on

if you have the wrong rims why not fix that. you shouldn't be running Ford rims on a Chevy anyway the hub is a different size. with tires that wide doesn't the rear tires rub on each other. highdesertranger
