I'm looking to buy a Dual Exhaust system that runs from headers back.

I have an 85 k1500 and I just purchased some long tube headers

http://www.ebay.com/itm/160875426714?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

I was hoping to spend about $200 (very low budget :bawl:)

anyone know of a good set before I go off bidding on ebay? :help:

Again this is my first experience with any of this, but my current exhaust system has seen better days so any advice is appreciated!!

Heres one kit:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-89004/
they have 2 more kits, all under $140
pipes are good quality. I just replaced my entire exhaust with a Walker system(parent company of dyno max)

The Dynomax system will fit and function, but it has crush bends. Other systems available feature mandrel bends.

Should work. You will have to cut the intermidiate pipes, that system looks like its designed for shorty headers.
Why no mufflers?

well i currently have no mufflers, and I didn't want any sound reduction.

Unless i went with glass packs..... I'm into a low deep sound

what do you all think?

It does really matter, since most of you have more experience than me when it comes to these trucks.

Which is better, no muffler or glass packs for a deeper sound?

Well, You could get a ticket for noise...I dunno what kind of area you are in, or what areas you may frequent.
But, I personally would get 2 offset/offset Magnaflows with 12" or 14" cases, and that should give you the deep tone you are looking for, without any potential hassle.
But, you never know, unless you try.

Go with a Magnaflow (like Jim said) or get a flowmaster. either will be MUCH better than a glasspack or nothing IMO.

Having had flowmasters, my experience is that you give up some power to get your exhaust to sound like a large sewer pipe, and spintecs are just a different twist....litterally. I consider any obsticle a pumping loss...and you engine might too.
Just some food for thought.

I've had both and found that whatever power loss you may or may not have due to muffler choice is largely negligible especially on any mostly stock motor. It's mostly up to the owner's ear and what he wants to hear as he rolls down the road.

Call some local shops see what they would charge. i got a complete exhaust for 120 bucks. I had from the manifolds back new hangers and tips. The only thing is i have no converters on mine.

I concur with that. My friend has dual flowmasters on his 350 powered El Camino, and it sounds like it's under water...just a very "tinny" echoing sound.
