I have a 1986 r10 single cab long bed 2wd. It had a turbo 350 trans originally but someone swapped a 700r4 in to it. the drive shaft got bent from someone loading it with a forklift and now I need a new one but do not want to spend $500. will any chevy single cab long bed driveshaft work that had a 700r4 and was 2wd? something such as one out of an obs truck or does it have to come out of a square body.

Figure out your spline tooth count and overall length, Go to the auto wrecker they should be able to hook you up

Pretty sure the u-joints changed between the obs trucks, the 80's squares have a factory "3r" u joint.

The 700r4 is a couple inches longer than a th350, although I'm not positive on the 2wd setups.
