Stock wheel in my '84 K10 Custom Deluxe. Looks like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-77-Che...ash=item25abce0444:g:5IUAAOSwPcVV0MFS&vxp=mtr

It doesn't look like I have and switch or anything under the center cap and it doesn't move if you press or pull it, but there's a horn behind the grill. How can I verify if mine has the proper workings or not? And if it doesn't, can I convert it or do I have to buy a new wheel?

Yes, that is a correct wheel for a horn. you should have some parts like the ones in the pic as well as a piece that reaches up through the wheel. Watch up to 3:00 in this video to get an idea of whats all supposed to be there.

This is what I see when I pull off my center cap. That cup doesn't move at all, not sure if it's supposed to.

Yeah, that cup is supposed to move. It's either assembled wrong or something is broken or rusted.

Given the track record this truck has so far, I wouldn't be surprised if it's all 3.

Thanks guys.

I had the same problem when I had my 83 C20 I guess the button was seized from 15 years in a field with no use... I just rigged up a separate button taped to the side of the steering column, and also my horn itself was dead so it got replaced with a Tesla horn which was great! While I would recommend the Tesla horn (hey, it was free!) I wouldn't do that ghetto fix on the button in the long run but in the short term it is definitely safer to have a horn.

AIR HORN HELP!!
I got a REALLY loud air horn for Christmas
Went to hook it up yesterday and I'm a bit confused
Driver horn is first in series?
That wire would be considered the "signal" wire?

If the horn wont work, the middle finger can often be used as an adequate substitute.
