Anyone reproducing it for 1977 model year? Not sure what other years are the same, just know some later ones are different and won't work. Part number is obsolete at GM. :(

It's '77 only. I wouldn't expect them to be reproduced anytime soon since they only fit one year (other than retrofitting an older model).

I didn't realize '77 was a stand alone on this mod.

Yeah, it's because '77 was the first year for the delay option and then in '78 all the trucks got a revised wiper/switch setup.

Don't give up so easily - I think this is what you are looking for:

459409 is the original GM part number for a 1977-only wiper delay control module. The OE part is NLA everywhere, but you might find NOS. Also try 465330, apparently gm changed the part number at some time.

Here, Phillips Muscle Car shows one (1) 459409 in stock:

459409 1

If you do not see the part you need, feel free to e-mail us [email protected] with a request or call Steve at 918-745-0784

I have dealt with Steve Phillips a couple of times in the past - he doesn't give his stuff away but he won't gouge you either.

Also try

They show one in stock.

If you can't find a 77-specific one, I offer 78-83 retro-fit kits w/updated wiring and installation instructions. I have a few NOS 78-83 modules and switches left in stock. The biggest deal is you need to "open up" the factory wiper switch location a little bit larger to fit the newer style pulse switch in the opening. The cluster bezel however does not need any modifications-just the metal opening of the dash. I recently upgrade a 77 GMC to the 78-83 style using my conversion kit-all plug n play! PM me if you want to go that route.

[email protected] is a non-working address. Tried it twice from two different computers. Comes back as a wrong address?

Never mind. Found the correct address.

I have a 78 where can I find the trouble shooting flow chart for the delay wipers? I have seen the flow chart before but cant find it now. mine work fine sometimes and other times they do not delay they wipe like a regular wiper(no delay). I replaced everything a few years ago because of the same issue. highdesertranger

Well, they have one alright. $150 plus shipping which sounds a little steep to me.....but then again, it might be the only one out there.

Those were the only two I could find. If you really want that module, I wouldn't wait too long.

You're probably right. I'm weird about having everything working properly on my truck. Trouble is, I've got to justify this one when here in the desert it might only rain once or twice in the whole year! :(

Wanting things to work as designed ain't hardly weird - it's wise.

And theres a reason GM decided to change to a more reliable setup in 78 too. 1977 musta been GMs' "testbed" model year for many things lol
