Welcome,
most aftermarket controls consist of a fan speed switch and a thermostat. the thermostat has capillary tube that runs to the evaporator that my be difficult to access but the controls if they are not integrated into the dash should be available from any AM company, Vintage Air. Typically the OE heater control will remain the same.
Pictures will help

It's a driver, not gonna make a trailer queen. The mice did their share of chewing most of the wiring, but thy pee'd on most everything behind the dash. Got it all rewired and everything works except for the fan/ac switch. Tried to clean it up to no avail.

you can get just the fan switch. LMC, brothers, autozone, etc... all sell just the switch part.

Mine had the same thing. Cant remember off hand the brand (was made in Texas - shocker) but read endless stories of how bad it was when new. Got a Vintage Air setup.

Whats also great is that since it wasn't 'factory' air, there is alot more room under the hood.

I'd verify your power to the switch and test to see if its going through. If that's all good check grounds. I personally haven't taken apart one of those controls yet, but if you can, maybe try to clean up the contacts on the switch. I've had a lot of luck with older electronics just by cleaning up the contact surfaces.
