Trying to reassemble Crazyark's 350, we put ALL the parts in one spot together as we disassembled things.
Now the oil pump intermediate shaft is missing, nowhere to be found, and I flat refuse to use one with a nylon bushing.
I want that hardened all steel one !!!
We have torn this place upside down, even searching where it shouldn't be.
Anybody else have this sort of problem ??

Did the dog bury it in the yard?

No dog here, and the fuzzy alarm clock passed away last Halloween after 14 wonderful years of meows and service.
You would think I am used to weird things happening here, but there's just too many unexplainable things that have happened over the years.

The garage monkey seems to take stuff that I know I put in a certain spot. After tearing the place apart and replacing whatever it may be, I’ll find it in the house. Bad habit of carrying something around and unconsciously laying it where it doesn’t belong.

I spend more time looking for wrenches that were JUST IN MY HAND than I do turning bolts. I feel you man, good luck finding that shaft. It may in fact be gone forever UNTIL exactly 5 minutes after you get it all put back together and running again with new parts

I think the worst part of this is, it will cost me 40 dollars in gas and 5 hours of total travel time to get a 10 dollar part.

When I loose something I cannot proceed with ANYTHING until it is found.
Jeez, I'd never get anything done. Luckily I have multiples of almost all of my stuff. My grandson, Kooper is working with(?) me in the shop on his S10 and he puts the tools back, just not in the same place he got them!

Ive been drugged before, so I understand the feeling. The cravings were bad, but if you tough it out you can return to a state of normal.

The extra ching helps for buying square parts ;)

There is a shocking amount of drug references and comments that you leave. I believe this comment and that you were infact a user. Seriously:33::confused::Big Laugh:

I've wandered between both sides of my barn, and back to the house for close to an hour looking for something once... checking the same places over and over as if the item would appear. Then I remember where the thing was absent mindedly set down and I go right to it. I guess the wandering helps to jog my mind, eventually.

I once thought it would be cool to magnetize my sockets and wrenches. I got tired of them rolling down my sloped driveway when I was all tangled up under the truck or hood. This way I could just stick em to the radiator core or whatever was handy.

Only took about two weeks before all my sockets and wrenches disappeared. I still find one stuck to the axle, bumper...or on top of the refrigerator in the garage. Sounded like a good idea at the time.
