I finally found a replacement with the new pigtailand it turned the check engine light off but it comes back on after driving for a while and is throwing that same code......any ideas? My bypass hose looks kinked and needs replaced but would that cause the temp sensor to throw codes?

As always thanks fellas for any advice.

Just the 1-3 which if I remember only refers back to the sensor right? The thing is it does not throw right away, it only comes on when the truck hits 170 degrees....at least I made that mental note when it came on last.

Ok it looks like I was mistaken....1-3 refers to an o2 sensor? I got this truck thinking it never had them because they were not in....the PO hacked out the cat. and must have removed the 02s also? Where would I find the wiring for those on the truck and did all tbi's have them or could his be a wild goose chase?

Code 13....assuming you did the redneck check on your OBD port and your check engine light flashes once, then three times qiuckly....is for your oxygen sensor.

If you didnt know.....

The "redneck" obd1 cel way to check it is a paperclip or small U shaped piece of metal. On your obd1 port you insert the clip into the top two right hand holes. It will blink once then twice indicating code 12 which means your ecm diagnostics is working properly. Then it will blink the appropriate code. Like o2 sensors is 44 so it would flash four times pause then four more times indicating 44
