The Fire Dept has a 1995 Chevy 3500 Rescue Truck. This truck has a master switch. The headlight switch continually gets hot and burns the headlight switch up. I have changed mulitple times over the years. I have traced the wires and did nit find any grounds or other issues. With the master switch, finding the problem is very difficult. All the wires and the whole switch get very hot and the lights go out. This is very dangerous on an emergency situation. We have a very limited budget so I take care of the repairs if possible. Any info that might help us would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like you've got way too many amps running through that switch.

Add in a relay kit. The stock headlight switches got pretty warm as is with the 55w lights. If you're running anymore through them, they can burn up pretty quickly.
