What up Squarebodians. What’s a good performance combo for intake and carb for a 350?

Edelbrock performer intake, with a 650 AVS2, is what I run. Has great power.
4bbl, dual plane, high raise atomizer.

A well tuned high CFM Rochester is a really good carb if tuned right

My Eddy 1405 carb on a Perfomer intake work fine on my 383 stroker. Good torque and response.

A hacksaw, small punch and 5 minutes will solve the tamper resistant plug problem.

I might try that. I seen a video on YouTube about it. I’m fairly new to the build.

there is more to rebuilding a Q-Jet than a cheap 20 dollar AutoZone carb kit.

Unless the carb has been properly rebuilt before, chances are good the throttle shaft bushings are worn. These carbs are 40 years old, the steel throttle shafts have without a doubt worn the aluminum throttle plate. There are bushings available in the aftermarket to repair the damage. If you attempt a rebuild without repairing the throttle shaft bore, you will never get the tune right.

Get with Cliffs’s Q-Jet, Sparkys carb, The Quad shop, any of them can provide the parts needed to properly rebuild and calibrate the carb to what your application needs.

I agree with @Matt69olds The edelbrock flavors of carbs are great as far as working on them is concerned. They are easy to work on, rebuild, and adjust, which is really good because it'll need to be worked one more often. But nothing will run 350 better than your Q-jet will and once properly rebuilt / tuned and adjusted you won't have to think about it again for a long time.
